You're invited to empower Indigenous Family Members as a Housing Transitions Support Worker with the Aboriginal Coalition to End Homelessness (ACEH) in Victoria, BC. Support their journey to independent housing through culturally safe assistance.
As a temporary full time Housing Transitions Support Worker, you'll develop goal plans, assist with housing transitions, and provide life skills training. This role focuses on building respectful relationships while addressing barriers to housing. You will collaborate closely with Family Members as they navigate the complexities of transitioning into market housing.
Key Responsibilities:
• Build culturally supportive relationships with Indigenous Family Members
• Develop individualized goal and transition plans
• Assist with life skills training,



including budgeting and cooking
• Advocate for Family Members at appointments and meetings
• Connect individuals with essential community resources
Requirements:
• Minimum one year of experience in social or housing services
• Experience with Indigenous Peoples and vulnerable populations
• Valid First Aid and CPR Certification preferred
• Must have a BC Class 5 Driver's License
• Clearance Letter through Criminal Records Review Program
