Big White Ski Resort is seeking a full-time seasonal Avalanche Technician responsible for ensuring safe operations. Ideal candidates will possess strong technical skills in avalanche forecasting, snow stability testing, and risk reduction. Your expertise will contribute to the safety of guests and team members alike as part of the Ski Patrol and Mountain Operations teams.
Key Responsibilities:
• Monitor weather and avalanche conditions daily
• Conduct snow stability tests and hazard assessments
• Manage avalanche control operations effectively




• Prepare and communicate daily hazard forecasts
• Collaborate with teams for secure mountain operations
Requirements:
• CAA ITP 1 certification or in progress
• Current Occupational First Aid Level 3 certificate
• Valid Possession and Acquisition License
• Strong skiing or snowboarding abilities
• Experience in snowpack observations and assessments
