Monday - Thursday, 4:15 pm to 2:45 am
Skills & Knowledge Requirements
- Ability to follow direct instructions with minimal supervision in a positive team environment.
- Efficient handling methods for material.
- Proficiency with power saws and nail guns.
- Willingness to fully understand the Metrie Canada quality standards.
- Proactive use of machine downtime by supporting the area and operator.
- Punctuality and virtually non‑existent absenteeism.
- Positive desire for continuous improvement.
Job Duties & Responsibilities
- Use proper tools to meet specific job requirements.
- Ensure quality products are produced, continually reducing breakdowns in material or scrap.
- Monitor machine operations to ensure product quality and consistency.
- Inspect finished products to maintain high standards of quality.
- Maintain accurate production documents and report discrepancies.
- Participate in training sessions for recent equipment or processes.
- Communicate with supervisors about equipment performance and issues.
- Ensure production timelines are met at or below standard cost.
- Produce products to exact specifications.
- Stack lifts with proper spacing and height requirements.
- Read, understand, and follow all Safe Work Practices and Procedures for machinery and equipment.
- Promote teamwork and assist other areas experiencing difficulties when downtime occurs.
- Clean up area of dust and debris.
- Capable of measuring products in metric and imperial systems, familiar with conversions between the two systems.
- Able to work in an environment with dust and paint.
- Able to stand for long periods of time.
