Location: Toronto, Canada Responsibilities The Software Engineering Leader oversees and guides teams to deliver high quality software solutions aligned with organizational goals and industry best practices. Set the strategic direction of software development efforts, manage project portfolios, and ensure effective execution of software engineering initiatives to meet organizational objectives. Build leadership skills within the team, stay abreast of industry trends, and foster a collaborative, high-performance culture. Collaborate with cross-functional teams, executives, and stakeholders to foster a positive and productive environment for successful software development initiatives. Job Description A Guidewire Technical Architect designs and leads large-scale implementations of Guidewire software PolicyCenter, ClaimCenter, and BillingCenter, focusing on end-to-end solution architecture, complex integrations, cloud migrations, GWCP, performance, security, and mentoring teams; translating complex business needs into scalable, best-practice driven technical designs using Gosu and integration frameworks, ensuring platform stability and modernization. Key Responsibilities Architecture Design: Own the overall solution architecture, designing scalable high-performance systems, data models, and integrations for ClaimCenter, PolicyCenter, and BillingCenter. Leadership & Guidance: Lead technical teams, mentor junior developers, enforce Guidewire best practices, and provide architectural oversight. Integration: Architect and manage complex integrations with external systems using Guidewire APIs, message queues, and integration frameworks.



Cloud Transformation: Drive cloud adoption, GWCP, manage on-premise to cloud migrations, and ensure platform modernization. Stakeholder Collaboration: Work with business analysts, QA, and business stakeholders to translate requirements into technical solutions. Best Practices & Standards: Define and enforce coding standards, security protocols, and design patterns. Technical Oversight: Conduct code reviews, ensure system performance, manage technical debt, and troubleshoot complex issues. Core Skills & Knowledge Deep expertise in Guidewire products CC, PC, BC and their underlying architecture. Strong command of Gosu, Java, and integration technologies (APIs, web services). Experience with cloud platforms AWS, Azure, GCP for Guidewire deployments. Proficiency in Agile methodologies and large-scale project delivery. Excellent communication, leadership, and stakeholder influencing skills. Compensation & Benefits The base compensation range for this role in the posted location is: $125,000 - $135,000/Annum. Capgemini provides compensation range information in accordance with applicable pay transparency laws. The actual compensation offered may fall outside the posted range and will be determined based on factors legally permitted in the jurisdiction. This may include geographic location, education, certifications, relevant experience, seniority and performance, market considerations, and internal pay equity. It is not typical for candidates to be hired at or near the top of the posted range. In addition to base salary, this role may be eligible for additional compensation such as variable incentives,
