Here’s how we’ll know you’ll be successful in the role: Responsibilities Cloud & Infrastructure Leadership Architect, build, and manage secure, scalable AWS infrastructure across multi-account environments. Design highly available systems using AWS services such as EC2, EKS, RDS, Lambda, S3, VPC, IAM, and CloudFront. Lead cloud migration and modernization initiatives from on-premises to AWS. Implement Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, CloudFormation) to automate provisioning. DevOps Strategy & Automation Define and implement DevOps best practices including CI/CD automation and release management. Build and optimize CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions, Jenkins, or similar tools. Drive automation initiatives to reduce deployment errors and improve efficiency. Develop internal tooling to enhance monitoring and reporting. Reliability, Monitoring & Security Establish monitoring and alerting frameworks using CloudWatch, Datadog, Prometheus, and Grafana. Lead root cause analysis (RCA) for production incidents and implement preventive solutions. Ensure systems are secure and compliant with enterprise cybersecurity standards. Implement DevSecOps practices including IAM governance and vulnerability scanning.
Leadership & Collaboration Lead and mentor a team of DevOps engineers. Partner with software engineering teams to ensure development follows established processes. Collaborate with cybersecurity and enterprise architecture teams to align cloud strategy with business goals. Establish SLAs, SLOs, and operational performance metrics. Qualifications 5+ years of experience in DevOps, Cloud Engineering, or Site Reliability Engineering. 2+ years of experience leading or mentoring technical teams. Strong expertise in AWS cloud architecture and infrastructure design. Proficiency with Infrastructure as Code (Terraform and/or CloudFormation). Experience building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines. Strong knowledge of Git and GitHub workflows. Experience with Docker and Kubernetes (EKS preferred). Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills. AWS certifications (Solutions Architect, DevOps Engineer, or equivalent). Experience working in a large enterprise environment. Experience with cloud cost optimization strategies. Familiarity with compliance frameworks and security best practices. Position Details Position Title: Senior DevOps Engineer Salary: 120,000.00 – 150,000.00 Hybrid: 3 in Office Days – Toronto (72 Fraser Avenue) Perks: 4 Weeks of Vacation, bonus eligibility, RRSP Match and more!
