Make a difference as a Registered Occupational Therapist with Boyle Street Community Services in Edmonton, Alberta. Deliver trauma-informed care and support vulnerable adult community members through client-centered occupational therapy.
As a full-time permanent Occupational Therapist, you'll be a vital member of the Interdisciplinary Team at Boyle Street. Your focus will include conducting assessments, developing care plans, and leading client groups that enhance life skills and overall well-being. You'll also provide guidance in navigating healthcare and housing resources while ensuring holistic support through collaboration with colleagues.
Key Responsibilities:
• Conduct occupational therapy assessments and monitor client progress
• Develop and lead life skills and wellness groups for clients
• Support clients in accessing community services and resources
• Provide trauma-informed care and uphold professional standards
• Participate in outreach events and community engagement activities
Requirements:
• Registration with the Alberta College of Occupational Therapists
• Minimum 1 year of OT experience supporting vulnerable populations
• Knowledge of trauma-informed care and harm reduction principles
• Robust organizational skills and clinical judgment
• Valid First Aid certificate and up-to-date Police Check
