Supports one or more Investment Advisors (IAs) and the IA Team and staff, and branch operations with day‑to‑day administration and provides exceptional client service to support achievement of business objectives. This client‑focused role focuses on managing and growing client relationships by delivering service and advice.

Responsibilities

- Coordinate marketing activities on behalf of the advisory team, including website, social media initiatives, client recognition for meaningful life events, and planning client events.
- Assist the advisory team in preparing for client meetings, including scheduling appointments.
- Handle clients’ general day‑to‑day requests and inquiries, such as basic money movement (e.g., wires, transfers), technology issues, and account opening and updates, and follow up in a timely and confidential manner.
- Generate reports and documents for IAs and clients as requested and process items for client accounts and files.
- Maintain and organize client database and client files.
- Ensure transactions and tasks are appropriately assigned to team members and completed.
- Provide team members with support on technology issues, use of new technology, and general inquiries and escalations related to policies, procedures, and processing.
- Gather and distribute information on updates to training, guidelines, technology, and other business‑related information.
- Develop rapport and instill confidence with the client to build credibility and promote a positive client experience, resulting in retaining long‑term client relationships and delivering exceptional service.
- Assist with managing a portfolio of clients to retain and grow relationships.
- Support IAs in individual client investment needs to provide professional,



customized investment‑related advice, sales and services.
- Work collaboratively within the market, BMO partners, and the community to build relationships and deliver the desired customer experience.
- Follow through on the risk and compliance processes and policies to ensure clients’ assets are safeguarded, privacy is maintained, and best interests are acted for, and ensure an effectively run branch.
- Protect the Bank's assets and clients’ assets and comply with all regulatory, legal, and ethical requirements.
- Maintain the confidentiality of client and Bank information.
- Complete complex & diverse tasks within given rules/limits.
- Analyze issues and determine next steps; elevate as required.
- Accept broader work or accountabilities as needed.
- Take measured risks while protecting the bank by applying the Risk Management Framework in the execution of your role, in line with our Risk Culture and approved Risk Appetite, making sound and risk‑informed decisions that align with business strategy, protect assets, and adhere to applicable policy documents, laws, and regulations.

Qualifications

- Typically 1–2 years of relevant experience and a post‑secondary degree in a related field of study, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Knowledge of wealth management company and branch operations (e.g., client services,



trust services, account transfers, etc.) is an asset.
- Knowledge of operational aspects of traditional (stocks, bonds, money market, mutual funds) and non‑traditional (managed and fee‑based) products is an asset.
- Familiarity with technology applications and software used in the financial planning and investment industry.
- Must meet the licensing and certification requirements for the branch/jurisdiction where the mandate is being fulfilled.
- Basic specialized knowledge.
- Verbal & written communication skills – Good.
- Organization skills – Good.
- Collaboration & team skills – Good.
- Analytical and problem‑solving skills – Good.

Salary & Benefits

Salary: $32,400.00 – $48,300.00

Pay Type: Salaried & Commission

The values above represent BMO Financial Group’s pay range and type. Salaries will vary based on factors such as location, skills, experience, education, and qualifications for the role, and may include a commission structure. Salaries for part‑time roles will be pro‑rated based on the number of hours regularly worked.
