Shift: Monday to Friday from 7:00 am to 3:00 pm Wage: $17.50/hour The Order Picker is responsible for accurately fulfilling customer orders destined to be delivered to our customer's stores. Accurately pick with an RF gun and place necessary quantities into boxes with a cart or a hand jack. Verify that appropriate product is picked to meet customer order requirements. Adhere to customer order requests; special packing requirements / special label requirements / special staging requirements. Audit and adjust picked inventory as necessary. Communicate pick location inventory discrepancies. Meet predetermined KPIs (Key Performance Indicators) without compromising accuracy/ health and safety. Maintain an organized work area; remove cardboard boxes/trash as necessary throughout the course of the workday. Adhere to all security SOPs to ensure the security of the warehouse and the client's product. Other duties as assigned HEALTH & SAFETY:



Follow the Occupational Health and Safety Act including Safety, Violence and Harassment laws Work in a healthy and protected manner following Metro's policies, procedures Always wear or use protective equipment Report any hazards you find in the workplace to your supervisor Must not use or operate equipment in a manner that would endanger yourself or others Must not put other workers at risk by your actions EXPERIENCE: At least 1 year warehouse experience in a warehouse as an order selector Experience with a RF scanner is an asset CORE COMPETENCIES: Proven communication both written and verbal in English Must be capable of sitting, standing, lifting and walking for extended periods of time Ability to follow directions Service orientated with strong customer interaction skills and commitment Good mathematical skills
