OverviewWe are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Veterinary Assistant to join our team. In this role, you will provide essential support to veterinarians and veterinary technicians in delivering high-quality care to our animal patients. Your responsibilities will include assisting with examinations, performing laboratory tests, and ensuring a clean and secure environment for both animals and staff. If you have a passion for animal care and are eager to contribute to their well-being, we encourage you to apply.Duties* Greet clients & patients, record animal's weight on electronic scale, admit to exam room.* Assist veterinarian & technician during examinations and procedures.* Assist with the administration of vaccinations and medications as directed by veterinarians.* Collect specimens & perform routine laboratory tests such as urinalysis and fecal floatations.* Answer telephones, help maintain accurate medical records and update patient information.*. Ensure cleanliness and organization of reception, exam, diagnostic imaging, surgical, & animal confinement areas.* Help prepare animals for surgery.*.
