Waterpower Facilities Co-op StudentLakeland Generation Ltd. is seeking a responsible, knowledgeable, and energetic student to maintain and improve the operations of the waterpower facilities and assist the full time staff for a 4-month Summer Term (May – August 2026).DUTIES:Assist the Skilled Tradespersons during repairs and preventative maintenance of all Bracebridge Generation equipment, including hydraulic turbines, generators, auxiliary equipment, dams, etc.Perform routine dam maintenance and groundskeeping tasks as assigned.Operation of tools and equipment.Maintenance of hydraulic turbines, generators, and hydraulics.Assist in performing routine tasks involving erecting, dismantling, reassembling, moving, loading, and unloading, servicing various fixtures, materials, structures, furniture, buildings, hardware, equipment, and vehicles.Heavy lifting and mobility/flexibility required.Must be able to work safely following all Regulations, company safety policies and standard operating procedures.Must be able to work in adverse weather conditions.Ability to work effectively and safely in a team setting.Perform other duties as may be assigned, including yard maintenance and maintaining a clean and orderly shop.Other duties as assigned.QUALIFICATIONS:Must be attending a post-secondary institution program in a relevant discipline or industry experience.Knowledge and/or experience of the maintenance,
operation and theory of electricity, computers & electronics, hydraulics, mechanics, and pneumatics.Knowledge of hydraulic turbines, generators, protections and controls, emergency power systems, and generation sites and civil facilities.Ability to use a variety of tools and equipment.Acquaintance with associated regulations, plans, guidelines, and E&USA rulebooks.Excellent verbal and written communication skills.Sufficient physical strength and health to manually move material.Must have a valid Class "G" driver's license.Excellent interpersonal skills.Self-motivated and able to work unsupervised, as well as in a team setting.Interested applicants should submit a resume and cover letter to by 5 pm on February 22, 2026.Lakeland Holding Ltd. is an equal opportunity employer, and we value the importance of diversity, dignity and worth of every individual in the workplace.
