Topics vary from year to year and are noted on the timetable once confirmed.Estimated TA support:90 hours (subject to enrolment)Sessional dates of appointment : May - June, 2026Salary : Minimum stipend $9,820.70 for a Half course (inclusive of vacation pay)Note: If rates stipulated in the collective agreement vary from rates stated in this posting, the rates in the collective agreement prevail.Qualifications : Candidates must have a PhD in Sociology or equivalent as demonstrated by refereed/published research, solid academic record, previous experience teaching a similar course, and evidence of teaching excellence in the subject covered in the course.Applicants must include a description of the topic and the approach they would take for the course they are proposing.Description of duties:All normal duties related to the design and teaching of a university credit course, including preparation and delivery of course content; development, administration and marking of assignments, tests and exams; calculation and submission of grades; holding regular office hours; supervising TAs assigned to the course; ordering all necessary readings.Application instructions:Applications which include a cover letter, CV and any relevant information must be submitted to the Hiring Committee c/o [email protected].
