This position is based in Central Zone at the Nova Scotia Hospital, providing casual relief support under the guidance of a Recreation Therapist. You'll be responsible for delivering health promotion and therapeutic activities, working closely with the interdisciplinary team to ensure patients receive individualized care tailored to their needs.
Key Responsibilities:
• Deliver health promotion and therapeutic activities to patients
• Work closely with Registered Nurses and Recreation Therapists
• Effectively share important patient information with the team




• Participate in the development of personalized care plans
• Support and enhance patient recovery and well-being
Requirements:
• Completion of Grade 12 and Therapeutic Recreation Year One
• Valid CPR certification required
• St. John Ambulance First Aid certification preferred
• Non Violent Crisis Intervention certification is an asset
• Excellent leadership and interpersonal skills
