Our office is a small boutique litigation law firm specializing in criminal, quasi-criminal and employment law. We are rapidly growing and are seeking a keen articling student to join our practice. The position offers an initial annual salary of $40,000 for articling. The candidate must be eligible for Articling under the Law Society of Ontario for the 2026/2027 year. The articling term is for 10 months.The successful candidate will get exposure to all areas of our practice. The candidate will work closely with senior counsel in the preparation and management of our criminal defence files. Additionally, the candidate will be actively engaged in the quasi-criminal prosecutions managed by our firm, giving exposure to both defence and prosecution work.
The ideal applicant will have a keen interest in litigation, especially as it relates to Criminal law. Interest in Employment law would also be an asset. We have two offices, with our primary office in Whitby, ON, and a secondary office in Newmarket, ON. The articling term will be a hybrid of working from home as well as in office. Our office does serve clients all across the Greater Toronto Area, and attendance at the various courthouses across the GTA may occasionally be required. Therefore, access to a motor vehicle is necessary.
