Contract Specialist BWXT Nuclear Energy Canada Inc. is recruiting for a Contract Specialist in Peterborough, ON. The role involves managing and supporting the entire contract process—from drafting and negotiating terms to ensuring compliance and managing performance. Responsibilities Draft, review, and negotiate contracts, amendments, and addenda to ensure they meet company requirements and legal standards. Collaborate with internal stakeholders including legal, finance, procurement, quality, engineering, and senior management to understand and characterize contract requirements and risks. Maintain accurate records of all contract documents, including tracking key deliverables, compliance milestones, and renewal dates. Identify potential areas of risk in contract terms and propose solutions to mitigate risk. Ensure contracts are executed in a timely manner and serve as the primary point of contact for contract‑related questions and disputes. Prepare and issue all requisite contract documents and notifications to the customer, ensuring they are accurate and compliant with contractual standards. Monitor ongoing contract performance and compliance, recommending modifications when necessary. Stay up‑to‑date with changes in regulations and industry standards that impact contracts and procurement processes. Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Business, Law, or a related field. Minimum of 3‑5 years’ experience in contract management, procurement, or a related area. Strong written and verbal communication skills with an emphasis on clarity and accuracy. Demonstrated ability to analyze complex documents and identify key terms and risks. Excellent organizational and project‑management skills, with an ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines. The total compensation package may also include an annual cash incentive and the full range of medical, retirement, and other benefits.
