Location

Our Long Term Care Division will be opening Seaton Village, a brand new 200-bed long term care home in north Pickering in early 2027, and we are building our team from the ground up.

With this expansion, we will be hiring Registered Nurses (RNs) for all locations, with opportunities to join the new home or grow within our existing sites. While most positions are part-time, some full-time positions may also be available. Opportunities are expected to be available at all of the following locations:

- Seaton Village in Pickering - RECENT!
- Lakeview Manor in Beaverton
- Hillsdale Estates in Oshawa
- Hillsdale Terraces in Oshawa
- Fairview Lodge in Whitby

Registered Nurse

As a Registered Nurse (RN), you will:

- Assess the individual nursing care needs of residents in the Home
- Coordinate the development and ongoing evaluation of resident care plans with the interdisciplinary team
- Plan, supervise and coordinate the work of Registered Practical Nurses and Personal Support Workers

The successful applicants will possess:

- A current Certificate of Registration from the College of Nurses of Ontario as a Registered Nurse
- A current Basic Life Support (BLS)



/ Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) Certificate issued within the last year
- Related experience in a geriatric or Long Term Care environment is preferred
- Demonstrated knowledge of and compliance with safe work practices
- Proven communication and interpersonal skills and the ability to follow both oral and written instructions
- A commitment to treating all clients and colleagues with dignity, respect and cultural sensitivity, and a demonstrated willingness to adapt services to meet diverse needs
- Demonstrated empathy, concern and interest in providing quality care and service for residents
- Physical ability to perform the essential duties of the job

* The BLS/BCLS Certificate applies to new hires to the LTC Division.

Hours of Work:

As a new employee, you must be available to work all shifts - Days, Afternoons and Nights - including 2 weekends per month. You should also be available to pick up call-in shifts on occasion. Schedules are prepared and posted 4-6 weeks in advance and are based on operational needs of the home; we do not schedule around another employer's work schedule, nor based your availability or preferences.

ONA 16 Registered Nurse

- Salary Range: $41.04 to $55.46 per hour

Conditions of Employment

The successful candidate will be required to provide a satisfactory Police Vulnerable Sector Check dated within six (6) months from date of hire. Additionally, tuberculosis screening will be required in accordance with the FLTC Act (O.Reg. 246/22). Proof of education, qualifications and any other job bona fide requirements will also be collected. Finally, compliance with the Mask Fit Testing Program is required and will be coordinated as part of the orientation process.
