You will manage a team of experienced software engineers and AI/ML developers evolving our SaaS platform and also spearheading our move into autonomous AI agents.In this role, you will partner closely with Product Management and cross-functional stakeholders to define roadmaps, manage priorities,
and deliver features that delight our customers and help maintain Tigera’s position as a global leader in Kubernetes networking and observability. You will foster a culture of high-performance and innovation and be responsible for building and maintaining a healthy team culture and coach engineers in their growth opportunities.This is a hands-on leadership role. You will be expected to engage deeply with technical decisions, participate in architecture discussions, and maintain enough technical fluency to unblock your team and guide system design.This role is hybrid based in VancouverSalary range: CA$200,000 to CA$210,000You HaveManagement Experience:5+ years of engineering management experienceProven track record of building, growing, and retaining high-performing engineering teamsExperience managing SaaS platforms or infrastructure teams in production environmentsStrong ability to balance technical debt, feature delivery, and operational reliabilityDemonstrated success partnering with Product Management to translate business needs into engineering plansTechnical Experience:Experience buildingscalable, multi-tenant SaaS on cloud platformssuch as GCP, AWS, or AzureGood understanding of container technologies such as Docker &KubernetesExperience or sound understanding of applyingAI/MLto observability, automated troubleshooting, anomaly detection or security.Familiarity with SaaS operational concerns: deployment pipelines, monitoring, incident response,
and reliability engineeringLLM Orchestration:Architect and deploy autonomous agentic workflows using frameworks likeLangChain, CrewAI, or similarto automate complex, multi-step processesTool Integration & RAG:Design robust interfaces andRetrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG)pipelines that allow AI agents to securely interact with internal APIs, databases, and third-party toolsProduction Reliability:Implement evaluation frameworks and observability layers to monitor, unit-test, and refinenon-deterministic AI outputs, ensuring production-grade reliability and safetyHands-on experience with Go (Golang) is desirableDistributed systems technologies such as Pub/Sub, message queues, or event-driven architecturesExperience using storage technologies such as MongoDB, Elasticsearch, or PostgreSQLMonitoring and observability tools such as Prometheus and GrafanaWith offices in San Francisco, San Jose, Vancouver (Canada), Cork (Ireland), and London (England), we have a thriving team of diverse individuals from all over the world.
