Join as a Substance Use Clinician dedicated to culturally sensitive mental health care. This impactful role focuses on enhancing access and treatment for Indigenous communities facing substance use issues.
We are looking for a professional with a Master's degree and two years of relevant experience, equipped to provide trauma-informed support and navigate complex care systems. You will work within a cooperative team to conduct assessments, recommend treatments, and lead group therapy sessions tailored for clients' needs, fostering a supportive environment.
Key Responsibilities:
• Perform screenings to assess treatment readiness
• Gather comprehensive client information through interviews
• Provide crisis intervention and short-term support
• Develop treatment options and monitor progress
• Liaise with providers to optimize care paths
Requirements:
• Master’s degree in a relevant field required
• Recent experience in mental health or crisis intervention
• Knowledge of Indigenous cultural issues and health approaches
• Valid driver’s license for transportation needs
• Effective communication and teamwork skills
