We're looking for motivated, engaged people to help make everyone's journeys better.Annual Hiring Range/Hourly Rate$160K CAD - $175K CADBenefitsPaid time offRRSP, with company matchEmployee Assistance ProgramEmployee DiscountsFree hot healthy meals for unit operations rolesEssential Duties and ResponsibilitiesPartners with Business Area President to understand business objectives and identify corresponding human resource needs of the region; develops and implementshuman resources strategy to support business objectivesHelps drive Division-wide human resources strategy, programs and processes into the regionCoaches management team on employee relations and complianceSupervises, coaches and provides direction to Unit human resources personnel assigned throughout the designated regionEnsures units without assigned human resources personnel are supportedPartners with operations and training functions to help identify training needs, develop and implement training programsPartners with operations and recruiting functions to help identify and understand workforce needs; actively participates in recruiting strategy and processPlans and conducts all labor relations including assistance with negotiations of CBAs, grievances and arbitrations as needed to comply with collective bargaining agreementsMediates and resolves employee relations disputes as necessary in all assigned units.Supervises process of responding to employment-related claims from various government or public agencies and of recommending settlement or defense based on actual investigation facts.Partners with corporate HR leaders to implement talent management programs and processes such as performance and compensation management, benefits administration and management, HRIS and records management, policy administration and communication. Ensures programs, policies and practices adhere to company objectives and are legally compliant.EducationBachelor degree from four year college or university required; Masters in related field or MBA preferredWork ExperienceTen to fifteen years experience in progressively responsible human resource roles,
