It continues to look at ways to diversify its asset base and add shareholder value, and is investing in attracting robust technical talent to support that growth.Senior Metallurgist – Gold ProcessingLocation: Toronto(site-based, up to 50% travel to head office/site)About the RoleThis role provides hands-on operational metallurgy and process engineering support, with an initial focus on the client's primary processing operation. You'll turn complex plant data into actionable insight, validate metallurgical performance, and drive practical improvements to recovery, efficiency, and cost. You'll work closely with Metallurgy, Plant Operations, Geology, Geometallurgy, and Technical Services to solve processing challenges that require real analytical depth and follow-through.QualificationsBachelor's degree in Chemical, Metallurgical, or Mineral Processing EngineeringProfessional Engineer designation considered an assetExperience & SkillsRequired10+ years of progressive technical, operational, engineering, and leadership experience, including at least 5 years in process operationsHands‐on operational metallurgy experience in gold processing (lab‐only experience will not be sufficient)Strong technical knowledge of flotation and leaching processesExperience in precious and base metals processing, including water systems and tailings managementStrong analytical skills; comfortable working with large data sets, metallurgical balances, plant inventories, and performance trendsExperience reconciling predicted metallurgical/geometallurgical performance against actual plant results and investigating variancesAbility to review technical documentation, coordinate consultants,
and support small‐scale process improvement initiatives across multiple teamsFluent in Spanish and EnglishAble to present technical findings clearly and influence decisions without direct authorityWilling and able to travel to site up to 50% of the timePreferredExperience with complex or non-conventional processing flowsheets and challenging ore bodiesExperience working across multicultural, multi-site, and corporate teamsExperience coordinating RFQs, purchase orders, invoices, budgets, and related administrative work tied to technical initiativesKey AccountabilitiesAnalyze and validate daily metallurgical reports; flag trends and provideactionable insight for decision-makingSupport validation of month‐end metallurgical balances and plant inventories (gold, silver, copper in circuit); report anomaliesGather and synthesize processing, metallurgy, and geometallurgical data to support operations, planning, budgeting, and continuous improvementSupport metallurgical/geometallurgical test work and validate recovery models against actual plant performanceCorrelate mineralogical characteristics (tellurides, deleterious elements, abnormal sulfide content) with leaching kinetics and flotation performance to improve mine-to-mill strategyReconcile predicted vs. actual metallurgical/geometallurgical performance, investigate variances, and help refine recovery models and life‐of‐mine assumptionsTrack plant consumables and reagent use against budget; identify cost and efficiency opportunitiesLead initial analysis and coordinate execution of small‐scale operational improvement initiativesCoordinate consultant work, review technical documentation, and advise leadership on deviations, risks, and corrective actionsCoordinate logistics, RFQs, purchase orders, invoices, and budget follow‐up for metallurgy and process initiativesCompensation & BenefitsBase salary: $130K–$175KShort- and long-term incentive plansExtended health and dentalHealth Care Spending Account ($1,000/year)Life, AD&D, STD, and LTD insuranceRRSP matchingFour weeks' vacationFlexible work arrangements #J-18808-Ljbffr
