Grounded in our values - Own It, Team Up, Be Curious, and Service with Care - we're committed to delivering meaningful impact for our community while supporting each other along the way.How you'll own itSupport land development across all stages, from concept planning to construction and final acceptanceServe as Chairperson of the Technical Coordinating Committee, leading meetings and facilitating collaboration among internal and external technical partnersReview and provide engineering input and approvals for Area Structure Plans, Conceptual Schemes, and Development PermitsNegotiate and prepare Service and Development Agreements, ensuring alignment with City standards and requirementsCollaborate with developers, consultants, and internal teams to resolve technical challenges and keep projects moving forwardConduct engineering analysis, designs, cost estimates, and contract administration for municipal infrastructure projectsHelp maintain and evolve municipal engineering standards, policies, and best practicesEnsure compliance with applicable regulations, environmental requirements, and safety standardsProvide technical guidance and support to internal partners, external agencies,



and the publicA closer look at the roleIn this intermediate-level role, you'll act as both a technical expert and a key partner in the development process. You'll balance engineering analysis with relationship management by working closely with developers, consultants, and internal teams to support responsible and sustainable growth.You’ll also step into a leadership capacity when needed, providing guidance, making informed decisions, and supporting continuity in the absence of senior leadership.What you bringStrong knowledge of municipal civil engineering principles, including roads, utilities, stormwater systems, and land developmentExperience reviewing development applications and supporting infrastructure projects through design and constructionUnderstanding of relevant legislation, regulations, and municipal standardsProject management experience, including contract preparation and administrationAnalytical thinking and problem-solving skills, with the ability to navigate complex technical challengesAbility to work independently while exercising sound judgment and decision-makingStrong communication skills, with the ability to clearly convey technical information to diverse audiencesA collaborative mindset, with a focus on building relationships and working effectively across teamsProficiency with Microsoft Office, engineering design tools,
