You’ll play a key role in bringing innovative energy solutions to life while supporting Alectra Energy Solutions’ continued growth.What You’ll DoProject Leadership & ExecutionProvide day‑to‑day oversight of construction projects to optimize performance, timelines, and budgetsLead the coordination of design, contractors, utilities, suppliers, and on‑site activitiesOversee Project Managers and Analysts, and directly manage projects when neededEnsure successful project delivery from construction through commissioning and transition to operationsMonitor compliance with project agreements, including land leases and site host arrangementsPlanning, Budgeting & ReportingDevelop and manage project budgets, forecasts, and construction schedulesPrepare and present regular project performance reports, including variance analysisEstablish and maintain processes to ensure projects remain on track financially and operationallyProvide updates and insights to senior leadership, including Directors, VPs, and EVPContract & Vendor ManagementDevelop, negotiate, and manage contracts with contractors, suppliers, and consultantsLead procurement activities including evaluating RFP/RFQ submissions and awarding contractsBuild and maintain strong relationships with vendors and project stakeholdersValidate contractor pricing, cost estimates, and change ordersTechnical & Regulatory OversightSupport regulatory compliance, including submissions related to OEB licenses and IESO agreementsMaintain knowledge of equipment warranties and oversee related claimsEnsure adherence to all safety, operational,
and corporate policies and proceduresSupport commissioning, energization, and overall project lifecycle executionStrategic Growth & CollaborationContribute to the development of new energy solutions, designs, and project proposalsSupport business development efforts by providing technical insights and costing expertiseCollaborate across teams to support ongoing and new business initiativesParticipate in and promote Alectra’s Safety Management System (SMS) programCorporate Values And ConductDemonstrate professional conduct and align with Alectra’s core values of safety, teamwork, and customer focus.Other DutiesPerform additional tasks as assigned to support operational objectivesWho You AreEducation & Technical KnowledgeDegree in Engineering, Business, or a related field (or equivalent experience)Professional Engineer (P.Eng.) designation considered an assetPMP certification considered an assetMembership with the Canadian Institute of Quantity Surveyors (CIQS) is an assetExperience10+ years of experience in construction of energy‑related projects5+ years of leadership or management experienceProven experience managing EPC or similar large‑scale projectsExperience in areas such as battery storage, solar, microgrids, or other energy solutionsStrong track record managing budgets, schedules, and contractor/vendor relationshipsExperience working with utilities, regulatory bodies (OEB, IESO), and external stakeholdersSkills/Abilities/CompetenciesStrong project and portfolio management capabilitiesAnalytical mindset with strong problem‑solving skillsExcellent communication and stakeholder management skillsProficiency with Microsoft Project, Excel, and related toolsAbility to work collaboratively in a fast‑paced,
evolving environmentValid driver’s license and willingness to travel to project sites as neededCompensationAt Alectra, Compensation for non‑union positions is determined within a defined salary range for each role. Placement within the salary range depends on several factors, including qualifications, relevant experience, and alignment with the role’s requirements.
