- The candidate will be responsible for developing and implementing child-care programs that support and promote the physical, cognitive, emotional and social development of children.
- The candidate will be responsible for storytelling.
- The candidate will be responsible for supervising employees, trainees, or volunteers.
- The candidate must assist early childhood educators in carrying out programs that promote children’s physical, cognitive, emotional, and social development.
- The candidate must lead activities such as telling or reading stories, teaching songs, and taking children to local points of interest.
- The candidate will be responsible for assisting early childhood educators or supervisors with record keeping.
- The candidate must encourage children to express their creativity through art, dramatic play, music, and physical activity.
- The candidate must engage children in activities by telling stories, teaching songs, and preparing crafts.
- The candidate must guide and assist children in developing proper eating, dressing, and toilet habits.




- The candidate must prepare snacks and set up rooms or furniture for lunch and rest periods.
- The candidate must observe children for signs of potential learning or behavioural issues and prepare reports for parents, guardians, or supervisors.
- The candidate must submit written observations of children to early childhood educators or supervisors.
- The candidate will be expected to discuss the children’s progress and problems at staff meetings.
- The candidate must be knowledgeable about licencing regulations.
- The candidate must establish guidelines for behaviour.
- The candidate must attend staff meetings to discuss the progress and problems of the children.
- The candidate must develop and maintain cooperative relationships with coworkers and community service providers who work with children.
- The candidate must plan and maintain an environment that protects children’s health, safety, and well-being.
- The candidate will be responsible for planning and coordinating activities for school-aged children inchild-careprograms before and after regular school hours.
- The candidate must supervise and coordinate the activities of other early childhood educators and early childhood educator assistants.

Job Requirements

- The candidate should be fluent in English language.
- The candidate must have a certificate of Secondary (high) school graduation.
- The ideal candidate will have at least 7 months to less than 1 year of experience in a related industry.

Work setting

- The candidate should work in a child care centre, day nursery, or crèches, probably the most formal childcare setting.
