The role can be based out of our Dartmouth, NS office with regular travel to New Brunswick (approximately 1-2 times per month). As a key member of the team, you will support project managers in the delivery of assigned projects.QualificationsA Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering3-5 years of commercial or relevant construction experienceThe ability to read and interpret blueprints/CAD modelsStrong understanding of ASHRAE, CAS Standards, National Building Code and National Plumbing CodeThe ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlinesProficiency in Microsoft Office applicationsStrong communication skills with the ability to share ideas and information in a clear and concise mannerA proactive and solution-oriented mindsetThis position requires a valid driver's license and access to a reliable vehicle as there will be regular travel to our New Brunswick office.What you’ll do as a Project Engineer?Participate in all aspects of assigned projects to ensure safe, on-time, and on-budget delivery.Provide reports on project status to Project Managers.Implement quality control procedures and conduct inspections to ensure compliance with project requirements, and appliable codes and standards.Participate in project meetings regarding mechanical issues and handle technical inquiries.Maintain professional working relationships with the General Contractor, client, and consulting engineers; assisting them toresolve problems and liaise on the integration of systems.Prepare operational manual documentation package and ensure documentation is kept up to date.Collaborate with Project Services, Finance, Safety, and Estimating teams to ensure project schedule and delivery are on track.Work with Superintendents, Supervisors, Forepersons,
