Job details
Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate. Tasks: Prepare estimates of labour and/or material costs. Read blueprints, drawings and sketches to determine work requirements. Prepare layouts in conformance to building codes, using measuring tools. Measure, cut, shape, assemble and join materials made of wood, wood substitutes, lightweight steel and other materials. Prepare tenders and quotations. Schedule and co-ordinate work on sites. Estimate costs and materials. Maintain, repair and renovate residences and wooden structures in mills, mines, hospitals, industrial plants and other establishments. Equipment and machinery experience: Hand tools. Work conditions and physical capabilities: Large workload. Physically demanding. Work with minimal supervision. Own tools/equipment: Tools. Safety equipment/gear. Safety glasses/goggles. Personal suitability: Accurate. Efficient interpersonal skills. Experience: 1 to less than 7 months. Other benefits: Free parking available.
