Overview Job Type: Regular. Agropur is looking for a Production Supervisor (vacant position) on the afternoon shift to join the Don Mills team. The Production Supervisor monitors operations of the production department to ensure that qualitative and quantitative measures in the operating plan are met, with a specific focus on sanitation and quality results (HACCP and SQF), health and safety, valuable manufacturing practices, and productivity. The incumbent participates to maintain requirements on food safety and quality. Other areas of focus include employee relations, production scheduling including staffing for open shifts, cost reductions, liaising with our chemical supplier, and customer satisfaction. Salary range 004: 78 300$ to 97 900$ (Salary will be determined based on skills, education, training & experience related to the position.) Responsibilities Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, and implement programs to improve safety culture. Provide leadership, direction and coaching to the production team. Promote and enhance a positive employee relations atmosphere, including efforts to continuously improve teamwork and establish high levels of employee involvement.



Ensure consistent application of best practices toward product evaluation, food safety and quality to support and maintain Agropur’s quality standards. Support the operation of the HACCP team to ensure facility and documentation are suitable for third party / customer audits to maintain SQF/HACCP status at the plant. Monitor and ensure efficiency of plant equipment and resources and ensure production requirements are met on time. Track efficiencies and productivity, measure results and communicate performance. Qualifications College Diploma or University Degree in an Engineering or science field. 3-5 years’ experience as a supervisor with direct involvement in a unionized production facility. Experience in food industry. Computer literacy, ideally with MS Office (Word and Excel). Knowledge of quality assurance systems (HACCP and SQF) is an asset.
