Position SummarySchool District No. 91 (Nechako Lakes) is seeking applications for Casual Learning Support Workers to support students in the Fort St. James area. This is a casual position with no guaranteed hours.ResponsibilitiesWork with school and district staff to support the individual needs of studentsAssist in the delivery of regular or alternate education programs for individuals or groupsAdvocate for students and participate in school-based teams as neededQualificationsCompletion of Grade 12 (Dogwood Certificate)Completion of an Education Assistant Certificate programMinimum of 6 months of experience working with children/youth with intellectual, behavioral, or multiple disabilitiesValid BC Class 5 Driver's License with a clean driving record (driver's abstract required)WHMIS 2015 Certificate and familiarity with WorkSafeBC safety proceduresNote:Applicants without the required certification will be considered Uncertified and compensated at the corresponding rate. Should you not have the required qualifications,



you will be paid at the Uncertified Learning Support Worker rate ($26.72).Additional RequirementsThe successful applicant must complete a Criminal Record Check through the Criminal Records Review Program (CRRP). Criminal Record Checks through local RCMP detachments will not be accepted.
