We are seeking a Senior Systems Engineer, Production to join our Platform Team. This role is available to candidates across Canada. If you’re local to a hub (Burnaby, Calgary, or Toronto), a minimum of two days per week in office on one of our Anchor Days is expected. What your team does The Systems Engineering team builds and operates the cloud infrastructure powering Clio’s products. We design, automate, and maintain scalable, secure, and reliable services that enable our global teams to serve thousands of customers each day. Our focus is on automation, observability, and reliability to help engineering teams move faster with confidence. Who you are You’re an experienced cloud engineer comfortable building infrastructure with code and analyzing architecture. You communicate clearly, mentor others, and bring curiosity and calm to complex challenges. What you’ll work on Design, build and maintain AWS infrastructure for production. Implement and evolve Infrastructure‑as‑Code with Terraform, ensuring reproducibility and compliance. Collaborate with developers to improve CI/CD pipelines, deployment strategies and developer experience. Enhance observability and reliability; refine alerting, monitoring, and incident response. Lead cloud optimization projects to improve performance, cost efficiency and security posture. Mentor team members, fostering a culture of technical excellence and continuous learning. Partner with Security, MLOps and Product Engineering to deliver scalable, resilient and compliant systems. What you may have Deep experience designing, deploying and operating AWS infrastructure and managed services such as RDS, EKS, Lambda at scale. Strong expertise with Terraform and infrastructure automation. Solid coding skills, whether application development or automation tooling.



Proficiency in container orchestration and cluster management. Experience with CI/CD systems such as Buildkite, GitHub Actions, etc. Familiarity with observability platforms: Datadog, Prometheus, Grafana. Familiarity with Linux system administration, networking and observability tooling. Interest in improving your craft using AI. Excellent communication and documentation, focused on knowledge sharing. Growth mindset toward process improvement and new technologies, particularly AI. Serious bonus points if you have Experience with Kubernetes (EKS) in production environments. Best practices for managing and securing large cloud environments. Prior platform engineering or developer productivity experience. Experience building and shipping cloud applications. Managing and scaling distributed data stores (e.G., MySQL/Aurora) at scale, including troubleshooting and backup/recovery strategies.
