Join the Department of Museum, Heritage and Culture working on large archival collection projects at the L.R. Wilson Heritage Research Archives. As a Collections Technician Intern, you will assist in organizing archival holdings, support digitization initiatives and document management. This position is grant-funded through the Young Canada Works program.
Key Responsibilities:
• Assist in the processing and organization of archival collections
• Support ongoing digitization for improved collection access
• Use digitization equipment for creating digital records
• Manage collection documentation and maintain databases
• Participate in archival work training sessions
Requirements:
• Must be registered with Young Canada Works program
• Undergraduate degree in history or archival studies
• Robust organizational and analytical skills
• Experience in archives, libraries or museums is an asset
• Proficiency with Microsoft 365 and database programs
