The Creative Innovation team within the Central Technology organisation drives EA's cutting-edge research, 3rd-party partnerships, and content creation technologies. What You Will DoWork on complex design challenges and guide new research projects to solve them. Establish, document, and maintain design standards and principles for the design system to ensure product visual quality and consistency. Conduct discovery and user research to uncover needs and pain points, translating insights into user-centered design goals and iterative improvements. Visualize and prototype solutions at multiple fidelity levels, including wireframes, conceptual designs, design presentations, and detailed specifications. Collaborate with UX team members, technical artists, product managers, and software engineers distributed globally. Stay updated on industry trends and best practices in UX design and apply them to improve usability and the user experience of our tools. Validate assumptions by presenting work to users and incorporating feedback. RequirementsAt least 3+ years of experience designing for complex applications such as creative tools, game engines, or 3D software. Experience in UX design and prototyping with Figma, including usability testing. Proven ability to communicate user experience research findings and design concepts to partners and gain buy-in. Ability to identify research opportunities,
build a research roadmap, and manage expectations with collaborators. Strong problem-solving using data and customer feedback to inform design decisions. A portfolio showing user-centered designs and how research and data informed decisions. Bonus ifExperience working with Technical Artists. Experience with 3D software (e.G., Maya, Blender). Experience working in VFX or Video Games. Interest in learning new design tools and incorporating AI into processes. This is a hybrid role in Burnaby, BC. Pay Transparency & BenefitsThe compensation ranges listed below reflect EA's good-faith estimates for this role in these locations at the time of posting. Pay offered will be determined based on factors such as education, qualifications, experience, skills, geographic location, and business needs. For Canada, we offer a package of benefits including three weeks of vacation per year, sick time, top-up to EI/QPIP benefits, extended health/dental/vision coverage, life and disability insurance, and retirement plan participation for regular full-time employees. Some roles may also be eligible for bonus and equity. Pay Ranges British Columbia (depending on location, e.G., Vancouver vs. Victoria): CAD 100,000 – 139,500 Pay is one part of the overall compensation at EA. EA is an equal prospect employer.
