*This position is located in West Hants, NS*Key ResponsibilitiesSafely operate side loader or recycling trucks and related equipment.Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections and complete required reports.Maintain vehicle cleanliness and report mechanical issues promptly.Identify and handle prohibited or hazardous waste in accordance with company procedures.Follow all safety, environmental, and company policies.Maintain accurate service records and communicate effectively with supervisors.Support route optimization and assist with overtime as needed.RequirementsEducation: High school diploma or GED (preferred)License: Valid Class 3 driver's licenseExperience: Minimum one year of commercial driving experience or completion of a recognized CDL training programPhysical Ability: Must meet physical demands of the position, including lifting up to 50 lbs and maneuvering in tight spacesKnowledge, Skills, And AbilitiesAbility to safely operate collection equipment and recognize disposal issuesStrong communication and teamwork skillsWorking knowledge of vehicle safety and maintenance proceduresAbility to perform manual labor and operate in varying environmentsPhysical and Mental DemandsRegular walking, climbing, kneeling,
