We are looking for driven candidates with a foundational understanding of valuation concepts and a strong willingness to learn.This role provides an excellent opportunity to develop technical expertise and gain hands-on experience in delivering high-quality valuation services. This is a net new role and the successful candidate will support valuation engagements, contribute to client deliverables, and work closely with the team to build their knowledge and skill set in the following areas:**Key Accountabilities and Responsibilities:**As a Financial Analyst, you will play an active role in supporting BDO Canada’s growing portfolio of valuation clients. You will play an active role in carrying out real estate appraisal mandates, in particular:* Work extensively with Excel to perform complex financial analysis.* Develop proficiency with BDO’s real estate valuation workbooks, mapping, and research programs.* Conduct market research and collect/collate relevant sales comparables.* Carry out land use research, including mapping, usage, official plans, and zoning by-laws.* Participate in site inspections as required (some travel may be necessary).* Contribute to the preparation of appraisal reports, client presentations, and proposals.* Liaise with market participants and clients for research and reporting purposes.* Support business development activities by building relationships with current and prospective clients, as well as other BDO service groups.* Perform additional valuation-related tasks as assigned (audit assist, market research reporting, etc).* If interested, contribute to Business Valuations for tax planning, financial reporting, financial planning, and transaction advisory purposes.* You demonstrate BDO's core values through all aspects of your work: Integrity, Respect & Collaboration* You understand your client’s industry, challenges, and opportunities; clients describe you aspositive, professional, and delivering high quality work* You identify, recommend, & are focused on effective service delivery to your clients* You share in an inclusive & engaging work environment that develops,
