Our client in the education sector is looking for aNetwork Infrastructure Support Specialistto join their IT team supporting a large, highly distributed enterprise network environment. This organization operates one of the most complex public-sector infrastructures in the region, with secure connectivity across multiple sites, thousands of users, and mission-critical systems that must remain highly available.This is an ideal opportunity for a hands-on networking professional who enjoys working on enterprise-scale environments, solving complex connectivity and security challenges, and playing a key role in maintaining reliable, high-performance network services. You will work as part of a collaborative infrastructure team responsible for the design, implementation, and support of core network systems that support both operational and classroom technology.This is a fully in-person role working on critical infrastructure in a stable, well-resourced environment with meaningful impact across the organization.What You’ll Be Doing:Design, implement, and support enterprise wired and wireless network infrastructure across a multi-site environmentConfigure and maintain core networking systems including switches, routers, firewalls, network access control (NAC), and security appliancesManage and support network segmentation, VLANs, VPN connectivity, and secure remote accessMaintain and optimize wireless network environments across multiple locationsMonitor network performance, analyze traffic, and troubleshoot complex connectivity and security issuesSupport virtualized and cloud-connected network environments, including integration with Azure / Microsoft 365 servicesDevelop network standards, architecture documentation,



and technical proceduresPlan and execute infrastructure upgrades, migrations, and maintenance activities with minimal downtimeWork closely with internal IT teams, vendors, and service providers to support network and security servicesProvide escalation support for advanced network incidents and participate in root-cause analysisResearch emerging networking technologies and recommend improvements to strengthen performance, scalability, and securityWhat You’ll Need To Be Successful:5+ years of hands-on experience supporting enterprise network infrastructure in a mid-to-large environmentPost-secondary education in Networking, Information Technology, Computer Systems, or a related disciplineStrong expertise in routing, switching, firewalls, wireless networking, and network security best practicesExperience with network access control (NAC), VPN, VLANs, and multi-site network architectureExperience supporting secure, high-availability network environments with multiple locations and large user basesFamiliarity with virtualization, cloud networking, and Microsoft / Azure / O365 integrated environmentsAbility to troubleshoot complex network and connectivity issues across multiple layers of infrastructureExperience creating technical documentation, standards, and architecture diagramsStrong communication skills and ability to work with both technical teams and non-technical stakeholdersExperience in public sector, education, or other large distributed environments is considered an assetComfortable working in a fully in office role supporting critical network infrastructureCompensation Expectations:$75,000 - $82,000 + Strong Benefits (including Municipal Pension).#J-18808-Ljbffr
