We are seeking an experienced and client focused professional with a great attitude who is able to work independently and as part of a team.The role is accountable for the effective delivery of screening and primary care nursing services for clients during their Annual Health Assessment, Year-Round Care clinic appointments and other Medcan services.This is a full-time role supporting Monday - Saturday between the hours of 6:30am - 6:00pm for an 8.5 shift at our Oakville clinic.Our Oakville clinic is located at 2275 Upper Middle Road East. There is free parking on site.What You'll Do:Immunization and vaccination education and administrationHealth assessment and teaching on cardiac risk factors, immunizations, and other nursing responsibilitiesPrimary Care Nursing procedures such as ear syringing, dressing changes, suture/staple removal, and assisting the Physicians with basic nursing skillsAdministration of maintenance medications such as Vitamin B12, testosterone, and allergy serumsCoordinating with other Clinic staff to ensure exceptional delivery of serviceMonitoring and facilitating the flow of patients through the ClinicTravel Clinic client education and vaccinationWhat You'll Need:Registered Nurse in good standing with the College of Nurses of OntarioMinimum 1 year of nursing experienceNursing experience in a primary care environment or acute care setting preferredGood understanding of publicly-funded vaccine schedule and travel vaccines is an assetCurrent CPR/BCLS certificationSuperior verbal, written and electronic communication skillsExperience in travel health, occupational health and pediatric nursing is an assetProficiency in MS Outlook and WordPosition Pay Range:Pay is determined based on your RN registration date.1 year: $73,777.602 years: $76,003.203 years: $79,851.204 years: $83,158.405 years: $87,235.206 years: $91,249.607 years: $97,926.408+ years: $105.768.00The above figures are based on an annual full-time salary. All amounts are in CAD.Pay will be determined based on an analysis of the selected candidate's experience and qualifications within our nursing grid.
