Senior Analyst, Operations (External Affairs & Sustainability)

Position Type: Regular – Full-Time • Location: Toronto, Ontario, Canada

The Senior Analyst, Operations – External Affairs & Sustainability (EA&S;) plays a central role in enabling the effective planning, coordination, and execution of McCain’s Global External Affairs & Sustainability function. Reporting to the Vice President, Global External Affairs & Sustainability, the role strengthens how the function operates, ensuring strategies, priorities, and commitments translate into clear plans, disciplined execution, and measurable outcomes. The analyst works across Government Affairs, External Communications, and Sustainability teams to organize function‑wide strategies, support leadership decision‑making, and drive operational excellence.

Key Accountabilities

Strategy, Planning & Performance Management

- Build and embed planning and governance routines to develop, deliver, and track progress against 1‑year and 3‑year function plans.
- Lead and support function‑wide target setting and performance tracking, ensuring alignment with EA&S; strategies and business priorities.
- Develop monthly and quarterly performance updates and review materials, including routine reporting to the Global Leadership Team.
- Manage and prepare a quarterly global policy digest and issues update, coordinated with regional leads.
- Track and monitor key policy and reputational issues, working closely with agency partners to ensure consistency and alignment across markets.
- Partner with Finance to ensure EA&S; investment is aligned to function strategies and priorities, and tracked against outcomes.
- Support the annual budgeting process for the function, including forecasting and performance reporting, in partnership with Finance and regional leads.

Special Projects & Executive Support

- Lead the development of internal and external presentations,



executive materials, and priority initiatives for the Vice President and EA&S; leadership team.
- Own the process for synthesizing cross‑functional inputs into executive‑ready reporting and updates.
- Lead or support special projects that require collaboration across EA&S; departments, cross‑functional teams, and external partners.
- Support the management of relationships with global partners, including coalitions and associations.

Leadership Cadence, Meetings & Engagement

- Design and manage the operating rhythm for the EA&S; function – including strategy sessions, leadership meetings, town halls, and project management forums – that drives alignment and effective decision‑making.
- Establish clear meeting cadences, agendas, preparation requirements, and follow‑ups to ensure effective decision‑making.
- Support coordination across global and regional teams to ensure consistency in messaging, priorities, and outputs.

Qualifications

- Bachelor’s degree with 5+ years of experience in business management, project management, or a related field involving executive‑level advising and cross‑functional collaboration.
- Exceptional organizational, project management, and presentation development skills; comfort working directly with senior leaders.
- Proven ability to synthesize complex information into clear, compelling narratives, presentations, and reports.
- Solid written communication skills with an eye for structure, clarity, and design.




- Demonstrated ability to build trusted relationships and collaborate effectively across diverse teams and personalities.
- Experience with budget management, financial planning, or data analytics strongly preferred.
- Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret data and translate insights into strategic performance narratives.
- Enthusiasm for learning and leveraging new technologies, systems, and processes.

Compensation

$81,600.00 – $108,900.00 CAD annually + Bonus Eligibility (target compensation range; final salary based on experience, skill set, education, and other organizational needs).
