The successful candidate will work at Air Canada's headquarters in Montreal, located in Dorval.
The Analyst – Revenue Production position within the Revenue Management team will involve participating in projects and analyses aimed at supporting new revenue opportunities, particularly in optimal pricing and bundling of flights and ancillary products. This position combines data analysis, modeling, and experimentation to answer key business questions while collaborating with various stakeholders.
Responsibilities:
- Design and conduct experiments to test new pricing concepts
- Manipulate and analyze large datasets to draw relevant conclusions and communicate information to support the decision-making process
- Conduct in-depth analysis of market trends, experimental results, and model results, using analytical reasoning and business knowledge, to highlight problems, assess their implications, and find solutions
- Develop relevant tools and processes to support the workflows of revenue management users, contribute to report development and integration into users' daily activities
- Participate in large-scale projects,
in close collaboration with internal and external partners
- Lead the implementation of recommendations impacting large parts of the network and monitor the measures implemented
- Play a key role in the evaluation, selection, testing, and implementation of current tools and system changes to support Air Canada's business model
- Participate in the development, calibration, and maintenance of a new Offer Optimization system through data exploration and analysis, as well as communication of operational needs
- Contribute to additional business analyses and projects as needed to improve revenue generation
Qualifications
- Master's degree in mathematics, statistics, economics, operations research, engineering, or equivalent
- Interpersonal skills and ability to work autonomously
- Ability to popularize mathematical concepts and analyses
- Ability to cope with changing priorities and tight deadlines
- Conceptual, analytical, and problem-solving skills, supported by a creative mind
- Experience in creative data exploration and analysis, as well as model development
- Knowledge of hypothesis testing and experimental design
- Ability to manipulate and analyze large datasets and transform them into clear business intelligence. (Python, R, SQL, or other programming languages)
- Proven punctuality and reliability to promote overall team success in a fast-paced environment
Assets
- Experience with revenue management tools in an origin and destination context
- Experience with predictive modeling or machine learning
- Experience in revenue management, forecasting, optimization, and data modeling
- Experience in managing complementary products
- Experience with Power BI or other reporting tools
