Position Overview Contributes to all culinary activities of McCormick Drew Rd Culinary Centre to drive innovation and deliver new products, recipe and content in support of the McCormick FAFH, Flavor Solutions and CPD business. Assists with the development of business-building food ideas and digital content to exceed consumers’ expectations.
Key Responsibilities - Under direct supervision of Executive Corporate Chef, provides culinary support cross-functionally through the product development processes.
- Works closely with Culinary, Brand, Innovation, Sales, Marketing, E-comm, Brokers, PD and other teams to deliver best in class products through the development of gold standard recipes and culinary prototypes.
- Works with teams from concept through commercialization.
- Assists with the development of recipes and content to support Digital, Marketing, and PR. Including photo and video shoots, info-graphics, article content and campaign content needs - Research - food and flavor trends, including cuisines, ingredients, preparation methods, equipment, demographic and generational preferences. Actively participates in signature report development - Responsible for maintaining culinary center stocked, clean and organized and control calendar for bookings Required Qualifications - AA/AOS in Culinary or BA/BS -Culinary Nutrition / Culinary Science / Consumer Science or other discipline (such as marketing/business/science) with equivalent culinary / food industry experience - 1-3 years’ experience in culinary field - Recipe and product development experience (preferred) - Experience in creating branded retail consumer-centric recipes and content including photo and video shoots (preferred) - Excellent written and verbal communication skills - Ability to work well and collaborate with cross-functional teams - Excellent problem-solving skills and research skills on projects when dealing with limited details or information Throughout the selection process, accommodations for applicants with disabilities are available upon request.
