Make a meaningful impact as a Casual Occupational Therapist with SE Health in Whitby/Belleville. Help clients regain independence and navigate their driving journeys with skill and compassion.
In this part-time role, you will integrate various assessments to evaluate clients’ driving abilities following changes in their health status. Working one day a week, you'll be an essential part of a dedicated team providing rehabilitation support. You will conduct driving assessments, create tailored rehabilitation programs, and collaborate closely with driving instructors and interdisciplinary teams.
Key Responsibilities:
• Conduct in-clinic and on-road driving assessments
• Provide vehicle access assessments for mobility aid users
• Establish client goals and resources for support
• Plan client-centered driver rehabilitation programs
• Complete detailed assessment and vehicle prescription reports
Requirements:
• Membership with the College of Occupational Therapists of Ontario
• Preferred experience in acute or community rehabilitation
• Reliable and flexible work ethic
• Strong communication and organizational skills
• Ability to adapt to current computer applications
