HACCP CoordinatorWith approximately 3,300 employees, JBS Food Canada ULC ("JBS Canada") is one of the largest employers in southern Alberta and one of Canada's largest beef processors. Consisting of three locations—the Head Office and a Case Ready plant, both based in Calgary, Alberta, as well as a processing facility in Brooks, Alberta, where approximately 4,200 head of cattle are harvested and processed daily. The JBS Canada Brooks facility has the capacity to produce products ranging from boxed beef primals, ground beef, beef trimmings, beef by-products and hides which are shipped across Canada and worldwide. At the multi-protein Mountain Creek Farms case‑ready facility in Calgary, JBS Canada produces value‑added products including marinated, portion‑sized, multi‑pack options, kebabs and much more.JBS/MCF is seeking an experienced, diligent HACCP Coordinator to join our team. This role will work alongside our production team to monitor and ensure the quality of our hand‑made products is maintained at the highest degree.Please note: This position is located in Calgary, Alberta.You HaveMinimum 3-5 years of HACCP experience in a fast‑paced food industry environment requiredRelevant post‑secondary education in Food Science or related course of study requiredKnowledge of Good Manufacturing Practices and HACCP principles and programsPrevious experience in a role requiring internal auditing, training, document management and developmentPrevious experience as a key contributor for the organization and completion of internal and external CFIA, SQF / BRC (GFSI style) auditsDemonstrated ability to take initiative to complete assignmentsAble to work in a team environment and/or independently as projects requireAbility to make quick, logical decisions based on risk assessmentExcellent computer skills, including Word, Excel,



and Outlook with a passion for accuracyAbility to get things done within a decentralized environment with minimal supervisionPositive and professional approach with willingness to learnAbility to co‑ordinate and co‑operate with members of other departmentProven ability to work in a protected and efficient mannerGood written and oral communication skillsYou WillBe responsible for the development, implementation, and maintenance of the HACCP systemBe responsible for the development, implementation, and maintenance of a GFSI quality system best practice standardsBe responsible for setting and monitoring standards, including the production, shipping, receiving, and packaging areasAct as the key liaison between the plant, external auditors, or government regulatorsCreate forms as required to ensure well‑documented compliance with all standardsBe responsible for accurate and comprehensive records that may be routinely auditedBe responsible for communication of standards to management and other team membersBe responsible for monitoring and achieving monthly, quarterly and yearly objectives / KPIsBe responsible for training of employees to ensure compliance with all programsAssist/support lab accreditation programUpdate current HACCP programs, verifications, and re‑assessmentPerform record checks and onsite verificationsCreate SOP documentation, training and assist with monitoring / maintenance of theseCollaborate with CFIA Inspectors, Operations, Quality Assurance to resolve food safety issuesAssist in third party and regulatory audits with QA ManagerAssist in the creation of QA policies and proceduresAssist with handling customer complaintsAssist in testing and other special projectsMaintain document control program and annual policies/procedures reviewProvide back‑up to the Quality Assurance Technicians as neededAdditional duties as assignedWork Site EnvironmentOffice Environment and working in a refrigerated / freezer temperature environment on a daily basis, for part of each day.Earn Competitive WageExceptional Benefits IncludeCompetitive Wage | Extended Health/Medical Benefit | Group Life & Accidental Death Insurance | Long Term Disability | Vision/Dental Care | Career Growth and Continued Training and OtherMountain Creek Farms3410B‑Ogden Road S.E.Calgary, AB, T2G 4N5www.Jbsfoodsgroup.Com#J-18808-Ljbffr
