Join IFAW as a Policy and Advocacy Assistant, working in a hybrid mode to promote impactful conservation initiatives. This role requires strong research, writing, and communication skills to drive strategic priorities.
The Program Assistant will support global Program initiatives and advocate for policy goals under the US Country Director's guidance. You will engage in coalition work, conduct legislative and policy analysis, and generate advocacy materials. The role emphasizes data collection and evaluation as well as grassroots engagement strategies to raise awareness and drive action.
Key Responsibilities:
• Participate in relevant coalitions and legislative analysis
• Draft reports, memos, and advocacy materials
• Manage specific program and advocacy initiatives
• Support the monitoring and evaluation of US advocacy work
• Engage in the growth of IFAW’s Conservation Action Network
Requirements:
• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field preferred
• 1-2 years of policy advocacy or campaign experience
• Superior writing and communication skills required
• Organized, self-motivated, and team-oriented
• Familiarity with CRM and advocacy platforms like Salesforce
