Excellent health, dental and insurance perks to meet the diverse needs of our employeesGenerous vacation time, fitness benefit, parental leave top-up optionsVacation – 3 weeks plus 2 personal days and we get most of the bankers’ holidaysMatching contributions to our retirement program – up to 6%Commitment to the continuous improvement of our staff through learning & development and an education assistance programRegular social events to foster teamworkThe Opportunity:We’re looking for a Bilingual Registered Plans Administrator to join our Operations Team.Reporting to the Supervisor, Registered Plans the Bilingual Registered Plans Administrator is responsible for the processing of requests for registered plan products within the IIROC and MFDA platforms.Responsibilities:At a high level this role processes transactions for Registered Plans AccountsPrimary accountabilities - process transactions for Reg Plans following the rules and regulations of CRA & support various products of the Reg Plans suite.The administration of registered plan products and processing of requests such as de-registration, un-locking,
specialized withdrawals, etc.Ensure that registrations, contributions, and withdrawals meet the regulatory deadlines for RESPs, RSPs, TFSAs, RIF accounts, etc.Investigate, respond, and resolve all registered plan related inquiries within SLA deadlines, escalating any issues that require management review and interventionCompletion of MFDA and IIROC Registered Plan audits within internal and regulatory deadlinesWorking closely with Tax, Estates, Transfers, New Accounts and Client Account Maintenance for any updates required to registered plansActively participate in Registered Plan Committee Meetings to ensure that trustee and regulatory changes are implemented into procedures and manuals, ensuring they are updated and currentRemain current on CRA, RQ, HRSDC and trustee regulations through the review of legislation, press releases, and industry information bulletinsDay to Day:Processing withdrawals from client’s accountsProcessing internal transfersProcessing pension type requestsReviewing account set up documentsAssisting with auditsMaintaining internal reporting and police the integrity of the systemAssisting with inquiries from advisorsEmail boxes (call centre), or other internal departmentsQualifications:Your experience and skills:2+ years in an Operational role at a Financial Institution, ideally in Registered PlansAttention to detail - Strong focus and accurate processingWager to learn - Wants to grow in the role and enjoys learningCustomer focused - High standard of customer service – strong business acumen and communicationsPost-secondary educationFinancial industry experience, preferably in Operations or Registered PlansExperience with Dataphile and/or Univeris is an assetExcellent communication skillsFluent communication skills in English and French are requiredAbility to work independently and in a team environmentExcellent time management and organizational skillsPro-active problem-solving abilities with strong analytical skillsOutstanding customer service focusExtremely detail oriented and accurate with a focus on quality assuranceAbility to work well under pressure and meet tight deadlines
