In addition, the team leads the development of Fidelity Investments Canada’s technology vision and strategy. This involves conducting research into a variety of technologies and business focus areas that includes data warehouse, data integration, master data, big data, cloud services, data governance and quality, security and operational efficiency.The Data Architect role assists with establishing and evolving the data standards, models and technical solutions. This will include active participation in key business and IS initiatives to ensure that solutions are architected and aligned with the Canada data strategy and technology directions. Data architects are senior visionaries who translate business requirements into technology requirements and define data standards and technology solutions.What You Will DoOverall alignment with enterprise data strategy, a key responsibility involves technology solutions in addition to close collaboration with our international partnersTranslating business requirements into technical specifications, including data streams, integrations, transformations, databases, and data warehousesDefining the data architecture framework, standards and principles, including modeling, metadata, security, reference data such as product codes and client categories, and master data such as clients, vendors, product and employees.Defining reference architecture, which is a pattern that others can follow to create and improve data systemsDefining data flows, i.E., which parts of the organization generate data, which require data to function, how data flows are managed, and how data changes in transitionCollaborating and coordinating with multiple departments, stakeholders, partners, and external vendorsDevelop data solutions to store and retrieve company informationDesign conceptual and logical data models and flowchartsBrings good knowledge of data governance best practices and tools experienceProvide business analyst support to business and technology initiatives aimed at improving data quality, timeliness of deliveryWhat We’re Looking ForUniversity Degree, preferably in Computer Science,



or equivalent work experienceMinimum 7 years of experience as a Data ArchitectExperience implementing RAG architectures, fine-tuning LLMs, or integrating GenAI into enterprise systemsBackground in MLOps, CI/CD for Machine Learning pipelines, or automated model lifecycle managementProven experience in database logical and physical build, and expertise in BI and data visualization tools such as Tableau, Oracle, SAP, Salesforce, and PowerBIAdvanced skills in Analytics, AI/ML, data source analysis, and overall data managementMaster Data Management experience with Ataccama or other industry-leading vendors like IBM and InformaticaProficiency with Cloud technologies (AWS preferred)Proficiency in data warehousing, ideally with experience in SnowflakeExperience with data integration platforms, specifically Boomi iPaaSStrong database build skills and experience with Microsoft SQL, Oracle, AWS Aurora, MYSQL, PostgreSQL, and ProgressDBFamiliarity with leading open-source tools like Apache Sqoop, KNIME, RapidMiner, Elasticsearch, Pig, Hive, and KafkaExperience with architecture enterprise management platforms (LeanIX preferred)The Expertise You BringExperience leading architectural design and transformative initiatives in AIGood project management skills and structured process mapping skillsExcellent problem-solving skills, communication and presentation skillsAble to build relationships and work effectively with cross-functional teamsArchitecture management and governance of structured and unstructured dataStrong understanding of Data Governance’s principles and toolsExperience Data Modelling and Technical Data AnalysisCurrent work authorization for Canada is required for all openings.Total Rewards That Reflect Your ImpactWe believe exceptional work deserves exceptional recognition.
