The salary range for this position is $90,000 to $100,000. Final compensation will be determined based on relevant skills, experience, qualifications, and internal equity. In addition to base salary, eligible employees may be entitled to other elements of total compensation, which may include group benefits, employer RRSP contributions, and discretionary bonus or incentive programs, where applicable to the role.

The Category Business

Manager, Member Sourcing position is responsible for the end-to-end management and execution of sourcing projects across Foodbuy’s category portfolio. This role serves as the primary business lead for tactical and strategic sourcing initiatives, coordinating stakeholders, championing member requirements, and ensuring alignment to organizational objectives.

The Sourcing Project

Lead maintains ownership of the sourcing strategy, event execution, and sourcing process, while this role acts as the client advocate and key business partner throughout the project lifecycle. Working closely with cross functional stakeholders, you will drive sourcing projects from opportunity identification through contract implementation and operational launch. This role owns all project management activities, implementation requirements, stakeholder communications, and documentation necessary to successfully transition completed sourcing initiatives into ongoing category management.

Success in this role will be driven by exceptional project management, strong organizational skills, attention to detail, analytical capability, and the ability to effectively coordinate cross-functional stakeholders to achieve business results. Lead all sourcing projects where Category Business Managers are designated business owners, ensuring project milestones, timelines, and deliverables are achieved.

Serve as the voice of the members by developing a deep understanding of their business objectives, operational priorities, and client-specific needs to identify opportunities and deliver relevant solutions. Trigger and coordinate member-led sourcing events with the Sourcing team, leveraging member needs,



market intelligence and contract opportunities to drive competitive outcomes and maximizing procurement value. Maintain and continuously update the sourcing project tracker and project management tools to provide accurate visibility into project status, risks, and next steps.

Coordinate cross-functional project teams including Category Management, Sourcing, , Culinary, Distribution, Marketing, Account Management, Operations and Members. Develop and manage project plans, implementation schedules, stakeholder communications, and executive status updates. Facilitate supplier evaluations, bid processes, project documentation, and sourcing events in partnership with sourcing and category stakeholders.

Identify and proactively mitigate project risks, barriers, and implementation challenges. Track and document project outcomes, savings opportunities, implementation milestones, and key performance indicators. Execute all implementation requirements for newly negotiated contracts, supplier transitions, and program launches.

Ensure all required implementation steps, documentation, approvals, system updates, communications, and customer readiness activities are completed prior to transition. Transition completed sourcing initiatives to the assigned Category Business Manager with complete project documentation, implementation status, and ongoing management requirements. Create and maintain standardized sourcing project templates, implementation playbooks, and best practices to improve execution efficiency.

Demonstrated experience managing multiple concurrent projects with competing priorities and deadlines. Strong project management, planning, organization, and execution skills.

Experience leading cross-functional initiatives and influencing stakeholders without direct authority. Strong analytical capabilities with the ability to interpret data and identify actionable insights.



High attention to detail and commitment to execution excellence. Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to provide clear project updates to stakeholders at all levels.

Experience developing project plans, implementation schedules, and status reporting. Ability to identify risks, solve problems, and effectively manage changing priorities. Strong collaboration and relationship management skills. High proficiency with Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, Word, and Smartsheet.
