We currently have operations in all major cities across Canada and into the US. We are currently hiring Company Drivers in Dartmouth, NS to haul and handle Fuel throughout Nova Scotia. May be required to haul Quads, B-Trains, and mini tankers.
Schedule: Night shift
5 days on 2 days off, 5 days on 3 days off
10–12 hour shifts - Approximately 60 hours/week
Home Daily Work Pay Structure: $28.50/hour for first 6 months - Transition to trip standard pay after 6 months
$3/hour night shift premium
$25/hour for training pay (4-6 weeks) Job Duties: Key responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following.
Responsibilities may change based on business needs. Safely operate Class 1 tanker units transporting petroleum products. Transport fuel products to customer locations throughout Nova Scotia and Atlantic Canada as required.
Perform pre-trip, and post-trip vehicle inspections. Load and unload petroleum products in accordance with company procedures and regulatory requirements. Complete electronic driver logs, bills of lading, delivery documentation, and required inspection reports.
Communicate with dispatch and customers regarding deliveries and operational requirements. Comply with all applicable provincial, federal, DOT, and company safety regulations. Report equipment defects, accidents, incidents, and maintenance concerns.
Maintain a professional and customer-focused approach while representing the company. Perform other duties related to the safe transportation of petroleum products as assigned.
Working Conditions Night work
Manual handling associated with loading, unloading, and equipment inspections. Exposure to varying weather conditions. Tight delivery schedules while maintaining safe operating practices.
Overtime may be required Qualifications: Valid Canadian Class 1 License with manual endorsement. Minimum two (2) years of verifiable Class 1 commercial driving experience operating tractor-trailers in Canada required. Safe driving background – Clean driver's abstract satisfactory to the employer. 18 speed manual transmission experience required
Must be fluent in English (spoken and written) to communicate effectively with dispatch, customers, and emergency responders. Strong communication and customer service skills.
