Impact youth mental health at Youth Forensic Psychiatric Services in Kamloops as a Psychiatric Social Worker. Provide essential assessments and counseling in a supportive team environment. This challenging role involves close collaboration with psychologists, nurses, and social workers to support youth in the justice system.
You must have a Master’s degree and clinical experience providing diverse outpatient treatment services. Your expertise will contribute to fostering a culture of equity and understanding for our clients. Key Responsibilities:
- Administer mental health assessments and evaluations
- Facilitate individual and group counseling sessions
- Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams for holistic client support
- Assist in the development of community mental health resources
- Ensure continuous qualified growth through clinical supervision Requirements:
- Master’s in Clinical Counseling, Social Work, or similar
- Minimum one year in adolescent mental health care
- Clinical registration with BCCSW needed within 6 months
- Hold a valid class 5 BC Driver’s license
- Experience with forensic youth populations preferred Deliver significant contributions to youth mental well-being through dedicated care and collaboration in this enriching social work role.
