Composite Aerostructure Designer

:

As part of the industrialization of the A220 aircraft program with our partner/client, the primary role of the "Composite Designer" is to ensure that the design of the primary structure, the design of the secondary structures and the design of system installations within their scope complies with technical requirements.

Missions:

- Ensure that the technical scope is well respected according to client requirements, program needs, and manufacturing requirements;
- Participate in the design of the primary structure, secondary structure and system installations within their scope:
- Make technical decisions related to the design of the primary structure
- Make technical decisions for fixed and mobile supports
- Make technical decisions for all system installations assigned to them.
- Make the necessary technical decisions concerning the design, manufacture, installation and verification of parts and assemblies
- Develop and verify test plans with laboratories. Verify test reports and analyze results

- Prepare the main technical deliverables and ensure the conformity of technical deliverables according to Airbus Atlantic and client requirements (technical solutions, plan verification, qualification and certification reports, etc.);
- Deliver parts plans and installation plans respecting delivery commitments in terms of time and quality to clients (internal and external).
- Provide visibility on the technical scope to their hierarchy and to the program (technical summaries, technical progress status, identification of technical risks);
- Participate in the analysis and implementation of changes with the program, supply chain, production and clients;
- Prepare impact analyses for incorporating changes;




- Ensure the technical interface with their counterpart at the client as well as the technical interface with suppliers;
- Support the resolution of non-conformity problems for parts and assembly line problems;

SOUGHT PROFILESpecific Requirements

- Bachelor's/Master's degree (or equivalent) in Mechanical or Aeronautical Engineering,
- Knowledge of composite and metallic primary structure design (an asset), secondary structure and system installations
- Knowledge of aeronautical design processes and methods (AIRBUS Atlantic, BOMBARDIER, AIRBUS Canada Processes and Methods)
- Good command of Catia/Enovia, Fibersim
- Experience in the design and manufacturing of composite parts
- Experience in the design and manufacturing of sheet metal and machined parts would be an asset
- Knowledge of manufacturing processes and requirements related to the manufacturing of primary and secondary structures
- Knowledge of configuration management rules
- Knowledge/awareness of tolerancing (GD&T;)
- Possesses good written and oral communication skills,
- Bilingual English / French (verbal and written)
