Corporate & Commercial Associate Lawyer

Full-Time, Permanent

Starting at $90,000, commensurate with experience + benefits and discretionary bonus Our client, a growing and collaborative law firm in Ottawa, is seeking a Corporate & Commercial Associate Lawyer 3+ years of corporate and commercial law experience who enjoys working directly with clients and supporting a broad range of business matters. The successful candidate will work closely with experienced counsel while managing corporate and commercial files, providing practical legal advice, and contributing to a collaborative, client-focused practice. Corporate & Commercial Law Manage corporate and commercial files with appropriate supervision.

Support a variety of business transactions, including: Incorporations and corporate reorganizations Share and asset purchase transactions Contract drafting and review Commercial agreements and corporate governance matters Draft, review, and negotiate corporate and commercial documents, including: Corporate resolutions Service agreements and other commercial contracts Conduct legal research and assist with transaction structuring and due diligence. Provide practical,



business-focused advice to clients on corporate and commercial matters. Build and maintain strong client relationships through responsive and practical legal service.

Work collaboratively with clients, colleagues, and external advisors to support successful outcomes. Contribute to a positive team environment and support practice development initiatives. Bachelor of Laws (LL.from an accredited law school.

Member in good standing with the Law Society of Ontario. 3 years of experience practicing corporate and commercial law .

Experience supporting a range of transactional and advisory matters. Strong drafting, analytical, negotiation, and problem-solving skills. Fluency in English is required; French-English bilingualism is considered an asset.
