About the Role
The Company is in search of a Chief Operations Officer (COO) to join its Executive team. The COO will be a key leader, responsible for setting and executing the operational vision and strategy in collaboration with the Executive team. This role is pivotal in leading operational effectiveness across the organization, with a focus on facilities, security and compliance, cyber and IT, and manufacturing. The successful candidate will be accountable for the operational infrastructure, process integration, risk management, and driving capital investments to support business delivery and the employee experience. The COO will also be involved in fostering a culture of accountability, quality, collaboration, and operational excellence, and will lead enterprise-wide initiatives that support growth, acquisitions,
and operational transformation.
Candidates for the COO position at the company should have a Bachelor's degree in engineering, business and operations, technology, or a related field, and at least 15 years of progressive operations leadership experience in industrial technology or advanced manufacturing industries. A minimum of 10 years in executive or senior director-level operational roles is required, with a proven track record in managing large-scale projects and operations across multiple locations. The role demands robust financial acumen, experience in highly-regulated environments, and a background in security management. The COO will be expected to lead a high-performing operational leadership team, ensure compliance with security requirements, and drive continuous improvement initiatives. National and international travel may be necessary, and candidates must be eligible for and maintain Canadian Government Security Clearance (NATO level) and Canadian Controlled Goods.
