Customer Team Lead, Loblaw & Shoppers Drug Mart (Hybrid)

Bring Your Leadership to One of Canada's Most Strategic Retail Partnerships

Church & Dwight Canada is looking for a dynamic and results-driven Customer Team Lead, Loblaw & Shoppers Drug Mart to lead one of our largest and most strategic customer portfolios.

Reporting to the Director of National Accounts, this role is responsible for developing customer strategies, driving commercial performance, leading negotiations, managing profitability, and developing a high-performing team. The successful candidate will serve as the business leader for the Loblaw and Shoppers Drug Mart portfolio, building strong customer partnerships while delivering sustainable, profitable growth.

What You'll Do

Customer Leadership & Business Ownership

Lead the overall customer strategy and business performance for Loblaw and Shoppers Drug Mart.

Develop and execute Joint Business Plans that align with customer needs and Church & Dwight priorities.

Build strong customer relationships and serve as a trusted business partner.

Identify opportunities, mitigate risks, and drive execution across cross-functional teams.

Provide strategic recommendations and business updates to senior leadership.

Strategic Negotiation & Commercial Leadership

Lead complex negotiations involving pricing, trade investments, innovation, assortment, promotions, and customer agreements.

Develop commercial strategies that balance growth, profitability, and long-term customer partnerships.





Use data-driven insights to influence customer decisions and unlock growth opportunities.

Navigate complex business challenges while maintaining strong customer relationships.

Financial Management & Profitability

Own the customer P&L;, including sales, gross margin, trade investment, and contribution targets.

Deliver profitable growth through effective pricing, promotion, assortment, and innovation strategies.

Manage trade spending with strong financial discipline and accountability.

Evaluate investments and promotional programs to maximize business return.

Proactively identify and mitigate financial and operational risks.

People Leadership & Development

Lead, coach, and develop a high-performing account management team.

Set clear priorities, expectations, and performance standards.

Foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, customer focus, and continuous improvement.

Support talent development, succession planning, and organizational capability building.

What You'll Bring

Minimum 5 years of progressive sales, customer development, or account management experience within the CPG industry.

Proven people leadership experience with a track record of building and developing high-performing teams.

Experience managing large national retail customers, preferably Loblaw and/or Shoppers Drug Mart.

Demonstrated success in delivering sales growth, profitability improvement, and strong customer outcomes.

Strong financial acumen, including P&L; management, forecasting, trade investment, and profitability analysis.

Exceptional negotiation, influencing, and relationship-building skills.

Proven ability to lead complex business initiatives from strategy through execution.

Strong communication and presentation skills with the ability to influence stakeholders at all levels.

Bachelor's degree in Business, Commerce, or a related field.

Compensation The Ontario compensation range for this position is $124,000 - $170,000.

Actual starting salary will be based on factors including internal equity, experience, skills, qualifications, market competitiveness, and geographic location.
