We are creating an exciting new role within our Marketing & Growth team and are looking for a Designer & Web Specialist to elevate HRPA’s visual identity and digital presence across every audience touchpoint.
Key Responsibilities: The Designer & Web Specialist, reporting to the Marketing Manager, willleadthe creation of compelling visual assets and helpmaintainan engaging,accessibleand best-in-class website experience. You will translate campaign briefs, content strategies and organizational priorities into creative work that is polished, purposeful, and unmistakably HRPA.
Creative
Production:Conceptualize and produce visual assets for digital and print channels, including social media, email, web, advertising, events, presentations,infographicsand brochures. Web Design and Management:Maintainand update HRPA’s website, create new pages and campaign landing pages, and ensure contentremainsaccurate, visuallyconsistentand easy to navigate.
Accessible Digital
Experiences:Incorporate inclusive design principles and ensure web and creative materials align withAccessibility for Ontarians with Disabilities Act(AODA)andWeb Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) standards, HRPA’s IDEA strategy and organizational brand guidelines.
Brand
Stewardship:Serve as an in-house resource for creative and brand guidance, helping ensure a consistent and professional visual identity across internal and external communications.
Design
Systems:Develop andmaintaintemplates, style guides and asset libraries that enable teams across HRPA to create consistent, on-brand materials.
Creative
Collaboration:Work closely with colleagues across marketing, content, socialmediaand email to bring integrated campaigns to life across multiple channels.
Continuous
Improvement:Conduct website quality reviews, apply SEO bestpracticesand recommend improvements to visual design,navigationand user experience.
Emerging
Formats:Support video, short-form social content,animationand motion graphics asrequiredwhile bringing forwardnew ideas,toolsand design approaches. QualificationsWe’reExcited About: Education:College diploma or bachelor’s degree in graphic design, web design, fine arts, digitalmediaor a related field,or an equivalent combination of education and professional experience.
Experience
- 3 - 5years of professional experience in graphic design, webdesign,or a related creative role.
- Demonstrated experience producing creative assets for digital, print, social media,emailand web.
- Experiencemaintainingwebsites through a content management system such as WordPress, Sitefinity,or Drupal.
- Experiencedesigningforaccessibility standards, including AODA and WCAGcompliance.
- Experience applying andmaintainingbrand guidelines across varied materials and channels.
- Experience in a marketing team, agency,association,or not-for-profit environment is an asset.
Design
Expertise:Advancedproficiencywith Adobe Creative Suite, particularly Photoshop,Illustratorand InDesign, along with a strong understanding of typography,color,compositionand layout. Web Knowledge:Working knowledge of HTML and CSS forwebpageediting and emailtemplate customization.
Additional Creative
Skills:Familiarity with videoediting or motiongraphics tools such as Adobe Premiere, After Effects or Canva is an asset.

Thinking:Able to translate briefs, ideas and businessobjectivesinto engaging visual solutions tailored to the audience and channel.
Project
Management:Highly organized and able to manage multiple creative projects and deadlines without sacrificing accuracy or quality. Collaboration:Comfortable presenting creative recommendations, receiving feedback and explaining design decisions to colleagues from non-design backgrounds. Portfolio:A portfoliodemonstratingcreativity, versatility, technicalskilland attention to detail isrequiredwith your application.
