Associate Director of Care RNDeerwood Creek CommunitySalary: $69,953.00 - $87,441.50This posting is for an existing vacancyWhat We OfferA competitive salary and vacation packageHealth & Dental benefits programRRSP with employer matchShare Ownership and Reward Program (SOAR)Employee Share Purchase Plan with company matchContinuous learning and growth to acquire the skills needed to succeed and take on new challengesA welcoming culture that values diversity and differing perspectives, experiences and beliefsWhat You’ll Be DoingAs the Associate Director of Care, your responsibilities include overseeing clinical operations, leading clinical staff, and ensuring regulatory compliance to enhance the health, safety, and well‑being of residents.Clinical ManagementProvide clinical leadership and guidance to nursing staff to ensure the delivery of safe, effective, and person‑centered care to residentsCollaborate with healthcare professionals to develop and implement care plans that address the individual needs and preferences of residentsMonitor and evaluate the quality of care provided, identifying areas of improvement and implementing evidence‑based practices to enhance resident outcomesTeam Member Supervision and DevelopmentTrain, supervise, and evaluate nursing professionals, including Registered Nurses (RN), Registered Practical Nurses (RPN/LPN) and Personal Support Workers or Health Care Aides (PSW/HCA)Foster a positive work setting that promotes teamwork, communication and professional growth among team membersProvide ongoing education and training to nursing professionals on clinical best practices, regulatory requirements and resident‑centered care approachesRegulatory ComplianceEnsure compliance with all relevant legislation, regulations and standards governing long‑term care homes in Ontario or British ColumbiaMaintain accurate documentation and records related to resident care,



medication administration and incident reporting to meet regulatory requirements and accreditation standardsCoordinate and participate in regulatory inspections, audits and surveys, address deficiencies and implement corrective actionsQuality Assurance and Continuous ImprovementImplement quality assurance measures to monitor and evaluate the quality of care and services provided to residentsConduct regular reviews of clinical policies, procedures and protocols to ensure alignment with best practices and regulatory requirementsCollaborate with interdisciplinary teams to identify opportunities for quality improvement and implement initiatives to enhance resident care outcomesInterdisciplinary CollaborationCollaborate with other members of the interdisciplinary care team, including physicians, therapists, social workers and dietary staff to coordinate care and support the holistic needs of residentsParticipate in care planning meetings, case conferences and family meetings to discuss resident care needs and preferences and develop comprehensive care plansWho You AreCompassionate and dedicated to meaningful work that supports seniors in living life fullyCompleted a Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing (BSN or BScN) or have an equivalent post diploma educationCurrently registered and in good standing with the College of NursesMinimum 1 year experience working as a nurse in Long Term CareMinimum 2‑3 years experience working as a Registered Nurse or Registered Practical Nurse in a managerial or supervisory capacity in a healthcare settingWhat You Need To KnowSienna Senior Living is committed to employment equity, diversity, and inclusion in the workplace.
